The Need
As you can imagine, the needs in Uganda are great. The plight of the women
and children there has moved me to accept the Off the Mat Into the World® 2010
Seva Challenge to raise significant funds for Shanti Uganda and to support the
Off the Mat® commitment to offer my heart, my hands, and my resources in joyful, practical service.
The Challenge
There are many ways you can give selfless service and be a part of our Blooming in Uganda seva. Help build momentum for our work by bringing
your joyful self to our fundraising events, and please donate directly (choose Sarah Longacre/Blooming in Uganda from the Seva Challenge list) to
our fundraising efforts. I am asking for your support of my effort to raise $20,000 by December 15, 2009, to help with the construction of a birthing center in Uganda and to help provide safe, sterile birthing kits to the
mamas-to-be there.
Your Donation
Your contributions to Blooming in Uganda, which directly support Shanti Uganda, are tax deductible. They are easy to make (click the Donate button!), and even as little as $15 provides a lot:
