Mother Blessing
This baby shower alternative is catching on in popularity as more women wish to simply celebrate the joys of becoming a mother. A Blessing Way is a rite of passage for mothers who are expecting, inspired by Navajo tradition. It is performed late in the pregnancy and gives the mother not only strength, but also a rich, deeply spiritual connection to the birthing process. Here at Blooma we will host the Blessing Way for you and take care of all the details. Give a Blessing Way as a gift from a friend or a family member, or as a gift to yourself, your baby, and your family. A Blooma Blessing Way includes the organization of the ceremony, the use of the Blooma studio, a belly cast, a Mother Blessing necklace, and a ceremony led by studio founder and doula Sarah Longacre. The ceremony also often includes poems, readings, and best wishes from the mother's circle of supporters.
