
Rebuilding after Birth
This pampering, strengthening, and nurturing workshop shares Kundalini Yoga and Meditation techniques with the new mother who has given birth in the last year (to first baby, second or beyond). It’s a normal need after birth to need to reclaim the space that you’ve given over to your baby physically and emotionally. On a physical level, we will focus on strengthening the pelvic floor and toning the abdominals, as well as enhancing the metabolism so that your weight can find the healthiest balance for you. We’ll also use special yoga techniques for energy and immunity to help overcome the effects of those sleepless nights! On an emotional level, we’ll work with strengthening your sense of personal identity and capacity for self-love so that you can nurture yourself as well as your baby. Please be at least six weeks post birth to attend this workshop, and ask your doctor if you have any concerns about being ready for activity. Also, please arrange child care for this time, as this workshop is all for YOU! Handouts for home practice will be shared.
