Acupuncture
Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used medical treatments in the world, originating in China more than 2000 years ago. Free of side effects, acupuncture can benefit both mother and baby. During pregnancy, acupuncture is most commonly used to treat hip, leg, and back pain; headaches; and the pregnancy-induced skin rash (PUPPS) that occurs in some women toward the end of their pregnancy. Acupuncture is also sought as a means to induce labor. Postpartum, acupuncture can help with insufficient lactation, postpartum depression, fatigue, and that out-of-sorts feeling that comes from the emotional rush of birth and the plunge into parenthood. Acupuncture can also help encourage fertility. Schedule an appointment with Jalashree Pradhan.
