Blooma offers a variety of classes for pregnancy, the postpartum period and beyond, and even classes that welcome people who aren't pregnant or mothering a wee one--including men and kids!
Here's a sampling of what we offer you and your family:
Prenatal Yoga: Designed to both nurture and challenge your body, Blooma prenatal yoga inspires trust in your birthing journey while providing an open community to discuss what you are experiencing. Whether you are a new or experienced yoga student, we'll guide you gracefully through meditation, breathing, and movement. You'll benefit from much-needed relaxation, while strengthening the muscles that support your baby during pregnancy and labor. Reconnect with your body’s innate wisdom about birth, bond with baby, and meet other mamas! (All levels and stages of pregnancy welcome.)
Vinyasa Classes (Regular classes for women and men): Restore balance to your mind and body during an invigorating Vinyasa Flow Yoga (for Everyone!) class. Welcoming both women and men, of all ages and levels of yoga experience, teachers guide you through varying sequences of postures that integrate breath with movement. Sometimes we pump up the music a bit, too!
Tots, Kids and Tweens: Ranging from ages 2-14, this is a perfect way to get your little one, kid, or tween onto a yoga mat and learning to breathe, relax, and stretch their bodies. A wonderful outlet and activity for them to join, and there is truly a place for all age levels.
Bring Your Own Baby Yoga *BYOB* (for moms and babies until crawling): Nurture your baby while caring for yourself. Bring Your Own Baby Yoga, modeled after Lisa Bergley's Yoga Bonding sequence, invites babies and their caregivers (moms, dads, grandparents, nannies) to bond through loving touch, sight, sound, and movement. Let baby in on the yoga action physically, mentally, and spiritually to build a strong bond of trust and security— the foundation of self-confidence for baby. While incorporating your little one into the BYOB yoga sequence, you also receive a nurturing, strengthening practice designed specifically for your postnatal body and spirit. The class offers a chance for moms to connect with other new moms, too. You'll find a warm, supportive community — essential during the postpartum period!
New Mama Group: Blooma's New Mama Group offers moms the opportunity to connect with each other, ask questions, share advice, laugh, cry, and talk about life with a new baby. There will be a topic each week, although the group is very casual and designed for all mamas. Of course, babies are always welcome! Start anytime! 12 rotating topics are discussed.
Childcare: We offer Childcare for many of our morning classes. You’ll see it listed on the schedule below the class it’s offerred with. Sign up for childcare separately--you must reserve your spot in advance.
Free Baby Weigh-In : The Weigh-In is an opportunity to meet and speak with a Lactation Consultant and track infant weight gain in an informal setting. Mothers are encouraged to nurse, listen to other women’s questions and concerns and chat with each other freely. This is a group activity, so please note that your privacy can not be assured.
