Classes

Blooma offers a variety of classes for pregnancy, the postpartum period and beyond. We even have classes for people who aren't pregnant or mothering a little one--from kids to tweens to dads and grandmas and grandpas!

Below are our regular weekly classes. Find full details on our online schedule.

If you purchase the Blooma Pass, you can attend as many of these classes as you like for only $74 a month!  (Or $40/month for unlimited Kids classes!)


 

Prenatal Yoga

Designed to both nurture and challenge your body, Blooma prenatal yoga inspires trust in your birthing journey while providing an open community to discuss what you are experiencing. Whether you are a new or experienced yoga student, we'll guide you gracefully through meditation, breathing, and movement. You'll benefit from much-needed relaxation, while strengthening the muscles that support your baby during pregnancy and labor. Reconnect with your body’s innate wisdom about birth, bond with baby, and meet other mamas! All levels and stages of pregnancy welcome. | View Schedule

Bring Your Own Baby Yoga  (aka "BYOB")

Nurture your baby while caring for yourself. Bring Your Own Baby Yoga invites babies and their caregivers (moms, dads, grandparents, nannies) to bond through loving touch, sight, sound, and movement. Let baby in on the yoga action physically, mentally, and spiritually to build a strong bond of trust and security— the foundation of self-confidence for baby. While incorporating your little one into the BYOB yoga sequence, you also receive a nurturing, strengthening practice designed specifically for your postnatal body and spirit. The class offers a chance for moms to connect with other new moms, too. You'll find a warm, supportive community — essential during the postpartum period! BYOB is appropriate until baby is crawling. | View Schedule

Postnatal Yoga

Heal, strengthen and nurture your body after childbirth. This class will help rebuild strength in the physical body, soothe common aches of new parenthood, and rejuvenate your energy. We’ll guide you through a meditative sequence designed to bring you inner peace and joy. Connect with other mamas in the community too!  This class is designed for ALL mamas who are at least 6 weeks postpartum.  | View Schedule

Vinyasa Yoga

Restore balance to your mind and body during an invigorating Vinyasa Flow Yoga (for Everyone!) class. Welcoming both women and men, of all ages and levels of yoga experience, teachers guide you through varying sequences of postures that integrate breath with movement. Sometimes we pump up the music a bit, too! This class welcome women and men of all ages. View Schedule

Feel strong, powerful, fit, and capable. Like the ballet barre you see fixed to the walls in dance studios, Blooma Barre utilizes the stable wooden barre to support you as you do isometric movements to tone, lift, and engage muscle groups that you didn't even know you had. Perfect for every walk of life; from men to pregnant mamas and everyone in between! Place this effective, challenging, yet safe class to fun and upbeat music, and you are guaranteed an incredible time. And of course in true Blooma fashion, all of the yummy goodness you've come to expect: moments to stretch deeply, rest and renew, and go about your day feeling empowered. So whether you're a prenatal mama wanting Goddess with extra support, or a postnatal woman looking to rebuild her core, Blooma Barre is the one stop shop for all of your goals and then some. | View Schedule

Movers, Pre-schoolers,Tots, Kids and Tweens Yoga

18 months - 14 years, we have classes for your little one, kid, or tween, allowing them to step onto a yoga mat and learn to breathe, relax, and stretch their bodies. View Schedule

Movers and Crawlers (with caregiver): Under 18 months (ready to move on from BYOB, not quite ready for Tots)

Preschoolers: 3-5 years old

Tots (with caregiver): 18 months - 4 years old

Kids: 4-8 years old

Tweens: 9-14 years old

*Preschoolers, Kids and Tween Classes are Drop-Off (without parent/caregiver) classes

Rub-a-Dub Baby Infant Massage

Healthy touch is essential to giving your baby a sense of peace and security in the world. In this class, you’ll learn infant massage techniques that convey your love and warmth and increase bonding between baby and parent (or other regular caregiver such as a grandparent). You’ll also take home knowledge of essential strokes that help soothe a gassy baby and encourage sleep! Parents are welcome to feed baby by breast or bottle and diaper change at any time during class.

• 1st Thursday of each month in Mpls, 12:30-1:30

New Mama Group

Blooma's New Mama Group offers moms the opportunity to connect with each other, ask questions, share advice, laugh, cry, and talk about life with a new baby. There will be a topic each week, although the group is very casual and designed for all mamas. Of course, babies are always welcome! Start anytime! 12 rotating topics are discussed. View Schedule

Welcome Baby Talk and Weigh-in (Free!) 

These free weekly gatherings offer both peace of mind and a much-needed sense of community to the new mama.  Receive advice and perspective on feeding, sleep, developmental milestones, breast health, and much more as you weigh your baby, celebrate growth, and meet other moms.  Ask the Welcome Baby Care expert, who is both a Certified Postpartum Doula and a Certified Lactation Counselor.  Anything goes in these lively discussions! View Schedule

Childcare

We offer Childcare for many of our morning classes.  You’ll see it listed on the schedule below the class it’s offerred with.  Sign up for childcare separate from class--you must reserve your spot in advance. Childcare is not included with the Blooma Pass or Kid's Pass. View Schedule
